Production and sales of our original brand Azumakobeni®
In 2012, we constructed a plant called AZUMA FARM Mie in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture. In 2017, we expanded the plant to produce high-quality fruit mini-tomatoes. This plant plant uses several sensors to monitor the inside and outside of the facility in real time, including temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and CO ₂ concentration. In order to maintain a facility environment that can maximize the photosynthetic capacity of tomatoes, we have introduced ventilators, misting devices, CO ₂ fertilizer application devices, and automated liquid feeding devices. In addition, in 2015, we registered a rare new variety as a trademark under our own brand "Azumakobeni®" and produced and sold it. The product name "Azumakobeni®" was named after "Azuma" in our company name “Azuma Shipping Co., Ltd." and "kobeni" in the sense of small red fruit. As the name suggests, these are cute little fruit tomatoes in bite-sized pieces that are as sweet as fruit. We will continue to aim for management that is rooted in local communities and can contribute to local communities.

Efforts for Safe and Sustainable Production
We have acquired GLOBALG.A.P (Global Gap) certification, an international standard that certifies that our products are friendly to food safety, working environment, and environmental protection. This improves safety and production efficiency, and promotes environmental consciousness and sustainability. In addition, we provide safe and secure products by using skilled staff to reduce agricultural chemicals.
Activity that contribute to the local community
Mie Prefecture has a system to declare the smart use of resources and register a new and voluntary initiative as a "Mie Smart Action Declaration Workshop." We are contributing to the local community as a Mie Smart Action Declaration Workshop. We donate "Appamakobe®" to medical staff and child cafeterias in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, where our factory is located. As part of our SDGs activities, we will continue to contribute to the local community in a small way.
